The Lexington Writer's Room invites you to Dream Big, a magical evening and Spring fundraising party featuring four of our amazing grant-funded authors.
You already know we throw a good party. We'll provide hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and music--come check out our gorgeous new space!
Meet best-selling and award-winning authors, talk books and writing, let loose, and join the creative energy in Lexington. Help us dream big.

The Lexington Writer's Room is where writers write!
Creatives need peers who inspire, support, and bring out our best work. We also need a place to call our writing home.
Located in the creative writing mecca of downtown Lexington, Kentucky, we have more than 100 active members who write a little bit of everything from novels and short stories to poetry, essays, and screenplays. Our membership includes New York Times bestsellers as well as folks who are putting their first pen to page.
We offer many benefits to our members--both on-site and virtual.
OUR WHY
The Lexington Writer's Room has a three-part mission.

To create an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive environment where our writers feel encouraged and empowered to create their best work.

To make writing accessible by cultivating and supporting traditionally underrepresented writers, and by offsetting the cost of that work through donations and grants.

To serve our community by hosting events, lectures, readings, and parties that make writing fun and encourage creativity to bloom in our city and state.
